Millican Captures Medalist Honors At Women's Southern Amateur

Savannah, Ga. - Former East Carolina women's golfer Adrienne Millican (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) posted a four-under par 68 finishing tied for first in the qualifying round of the 90th Women's Southern Amateur. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 5,950-yard Dear Creek Course at Landings Club in Savannah, Georgia.

Millican, a two-time first-team All-Conference USA performer, advances to the match play championship division which will begin Tuesday morning and will conclude Friday with a 36-hole final.

The championship division consists of the lowest 32 scores from the qualifying round with the cut coming in at 77. All players not making the championship division will be flighted and matches will begin on Tuesday and end on Friday.
