Moore Tied For Ninth After Two Rounds

GREENVILLE, S.C. - East Carolina freshman Meghan Moore fired a three-over par 75 and is currently tied for ninth place after two rounds at the 38th Lady Paladin Invitational, which is being played at the par-72, 6,199-yard Furman University Golf Course.
Moore, who is playing in her first collegiate tournament as an individual, registered a pair of birdies on holes No. 2 and No. 7 to finish with a front nine 34 and closed out the round with a five-over par 41 for a two-day total of 153. Fellow Pirate Amber Littman is one stroke behind Moore with a score of 154 after a second round score of 76 which consisted of two birdies and 10 pars for a share of 11th place.
Abby Bools jumped 31 spots from Friday's action with a round of 74 on Saturday and sits in a tie for 20th at 156. Rounding out the Pirates squad is Colleen Estes (t-30th/157), Amy Otteson (t-35th/159) and Ana Maria Puche (t-86th/163).
In the team portion of the event, the Pirates (623) posted the third-lowest score of the day with a 303 and moved into sole possession of sixth place with 18 holes remaining, sitting 12 shots behind tournament leader Nova Southeastern (611). Campbell is second just four shots off the lead with a score of 615 and host school Furman, who fired the low round of the day with a 297, is in third with a two-day total of 617.
Saturday's second round, like Friday's 18 holes, was played with wet course conditions and periods of rain throughout the day. With 18 holes remaining, 30 golfers are within nine strokes of the leader (Sandra Changkija/147) and seven teams are within 16 strokes of the tournament leading Sharks.
