Lady Pirate Golf Tied For Eighth After First Round At Taco Bell Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina women's golf team posted a nine-over par (297) first round score and currently sits 11 strokes back of third place in a tie for eighth at the Taco Bell Intercollegiate. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 6,232-yard Bradford Creek Golf Course. ECU freshman Lene Krog posted a two-under par 70 and is tied for fourth sitting four strokes back of Western Carolina's Ashley Hovda (66). Fellow Pirate Heidi Helliesen is tied for 21st after an opening round of 73. Georgia State's Annika Korkeila and Maryland's Katie Stepanek are tied for second at three-under par, 69. In the team portion of the event, Western Carolina (284) holds a one shot lead over Georgia State (285) and a two shot advantage over Augusta State (286).
