GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina Head Women's Golf Coach Kim Lewellen has announced that Amber Littman, Colleen Estes and Jennifer O'Connor have each signed a National Letter of Intent to play golf for the Lady Pirates for the 2007-08 season.
"I am excited about our 2008 signing class," said Lewellen. "These three outstanding North Carolina golfers have competed and won at the highest level in the state and I look forward to them adding their talent to our existing championship team. All of these student-athletes are not only good golfers and students, but have an outstanding character. I am proud they signed and look forward to coaching them here at ECU."
Colleen Estes Green Hope HS (Cary, N.C.)
Seven-time letter winner (golf-4, soccer-3) for the Falcons ... Guided Green Hope to 2006 Tri-Eight Conference Championship and Eastern Regional Championship as the team captain ... Four-time team MVP and all-conference selection ... Named Tri-Eight Conference Player-of-the-Year in 2006 ... Claimed 2006 Eastern Regional individual title ... Placed second in the 4A N.C. High School State Championships in 2006 ... Medalist winner at the Roy Jones/ Clarence Rose Classic ... Academic Honors: Runner-up at the Dogwood State Championships ... Currently ranked seventh in the state according to CGA Rankings ... Three-time Beta Club Member ... Four-time Honor Roll Student that has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school ...
