Women's Soccer Adds Another Student-Athlete To 2005 Class
GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina University's women's soccer program announced that Sadia Altidore (Boca Raton, Fla. ) will join the Pirates squad in 2005. Altidore is the seventh commitment in a class that includes Nicole Moore (Spindale, NC), Amber Campbell (Frederick, MD), Madison Keller (Clarksburg, MD), Sarah Biggar (Coral Springs, FL), Kelley Hennessy (Charlotte, NC) and Stephanie Rogers (Little Rock, AR).
Sadia Altidore (Boca Raton, Fla.)
Sadia, a 5-10 defender/ midfielder, was a member of American Heritage H.S., the 2004 State Champions and 2005 State Finalists coached by Steve Burgess. Sadia scored the game-winning goal in the 2004 State Championship game. She was named first-team All-Area by the Palm Beach Post and second-team All-Area by the Sun Sentinel in 2005. She was an Honorable Mention All-Area performer her freshmen through junior years. She was also named Boca News Player of the Week in 2004. Sadia plays club soccer for Team Boca coached by Rachel Watkins and went to the final four in states. Sadia also qualified for states in track for the long jump, 4x100 meters and 4x400 meters. She made the Dean's List, National Honor Roll, and was named Who's Who Among American Students her senior year.

"Sadia is a very athletic player and she should compete for a spot in the back. At 5-10, her height will help us in the air."
