East Carolina and Virginia Tech Tie 2-2 In Women's Soccer

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- East Carolina and Virginia Tech tied 2-2 in double overtime in women's soccer action at Charlotte's Transamerica Field. This marked the first game of the Charlotte Classic.

Virginia Tech scored the match's first goal when Kjersti Trout scored on a shot from about 25 yards out in the 15th minute of the match.

Virginia Tech increased their lead to 2-0 when Emily Barnhart scored off an assist from Kathy Holdsworth in the 17th minute.

East Carolina cut the Virginia Tech lead in half when Meghan McCallion scored an unassisted breakaway goal in the 18th minute, the third of the season.

East Carolina tied the match at 2-2 when Amanda Duffy scored her second goal of the season off an assist from Meghan McCallion in the 53rd minute.
