LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- East Carolina's Meghan McCallion scored her eighth and ninth goals of the season to lead the Lady Pirates (7-3-2, 3-1-1) to a 2-0 victory over the University of Louisville (5-7-1, 1-3-1) in women's soccer action Sunday.

McCallion picked up her first goal in the 12th minute when she broke in on the left side and beat Cardinal keeper Lyndsay Seibert to make it 1-0 ECU. Jennifer Leonard and Unicity Dittmer picked up assists on the goal.

Kristin Hoyle set up McCallion for her second goal at 50:05 to seal the victory.

ECU Head Coach Rob Donnenwirth picked up his 100th career victory in the match that saw his Pirates outshot the Cards 12-5. Donnenwirth commented on the game: "It was a great game for McCallion, and a strong win for us. We did a good job putting them under a lot of pressure in the first half and in the second half we did a really good job possessing the ball. Our backs did a fantastic job today, Meghan Schwanke, Tina Rivera, Penny Perrott and Mindy Nixon, keeping Louisville at bay most of the game, allowing them very few shot opportunities."

The Pirates face Cincinnati tomorrow at Louisville, in a make-up game after Friday's rain out at ECU. The Pirates return home October 25 at 2 pm to take on Marquette.
