Women's Soccer Plays C-USA Tournament Match against Houston
11/04/2002 GREENVILLE, N.C. -- The East Carolina women's soccer team heads to Charlotte for the Conference USA Tournament where they are seeded third and face sixth-seeded Houston (8-7-3, 4-3-3) on Wednesday, November 6 at 2:30 p.m. This marks the second-straight season that the Pirates have qualified for the C-USA Tournament, as they earned a berth in their inaugural Conference USA season last year. ECU finished regular season play with a 10-5-4 overall record, 5-2-3 in C-USA play. Senior Amanda Duffy (Jacksonville, N.C.) leads ECU with a team-high 10 goals and five assists, she ranks in eight charts in C-USA statistics including goals, assists and game winning goals (3). Freshman Meghan McCallion (Bay Shore, N.Y.) enters the tournament with nine goals and six assists and ranks her in eight C-USA standing as well, including shots, points, goals and assists. Freshman Goal keeper Michelle Kmiotek (Tampa, Fla.) enters Wednesday's match with four shutouts and ranks her fourth in shutouts in C-USA.
