12/09/2003 GREENVILLE, N.C. -- East Carolina's Penny Perrott (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) and Meghan McCallion (Long Island, N.Y.) were named to the 2003 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Southeast Region Team released Tuesday. Perrott, a four-year starter for head coach Rob Donnenwirth, garnered second-team honors from NCSAA for the second consecutive year. She capped her collegiate career by earning All-Conference USA first-team recognition, and became the first Lady Pirate to be named Co-Defensive Player of the Year by C-USA in women's soccer. Perrott shared the award with USF's Breck Bankster. On the season, she helped the Pirates record six shutouts, register 1.14 goals against average, while collecting three goals and five assists. McCallion earned third-team All-Southeast Region honors as a sophomore. She led the Pirates in scoring this season with 10 goals, three of which were game-winners. McCallion currently ranks fourth on ECU's all-time scoring and points charts. This season, she set a single-season record for shots with 83, and tied her previous years mark of 10 goals, which is the third best single-season mark. McCallion also earned first-team All C-USA honors for the Pirates in 2003. On Dec. 5, both Perrott and McCallion were named to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) University Division All-State Women's Soccer Team. 2003 NSCAA Southeast All-Region Teams First Team Second Team Third Team
