Perrott and Duffy Named All-South Region
12/10/2002

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Senior Amanda Duffy (Jacksonville, N.C.) and junior Penny Perrott (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) were named to the All-South Region second team as announced by The National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Adidas.

Duffy led the Pirates in scoring this season with 10 goals, three of which were game-winners. She broke the ECU career goal record with 33, as well as the career points mark with 83. She also holds the single-season record for goals, points and shots and ranks third in assists. Duffy made the C-USA All-Tournament team this season.

Perrott, a solid defender for the Pirates, anchored the back line and scored two goals on the season, one of which was a game-winning goal, and recorded one assist.

"I am extremely happy that both Amanda and Penny were selected to the All-South Region team," said Head Coach Rob Donnenwirth after today's announcement. "This is a prestigious honor and they are among the top players in the country."
