Fuller Receives Spirit of Service Award

IRVING, Texas - East Carolina junior soccer player Rachel Fuller is one of 12 student-athletes that will receive the Conference USA Fall Spirit of Service award league Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced Tuesday afternoon.
The C-USA Spirit of Service Award is designed to recognize the community service efforts of the league's student-athletes, based upon significant community service, good academic standing and participation in their elected sport. The Spirit of Service award will be presented three times throughout the season, with today's honorees representing Conference USA's fall sports: football, soccer, volleyball and cross country.
Fuller, a native of Coppell, Texas, has helped throughout the fall season with various organizations and groups. She has volunteered with the Pitt County schools' youth soccer program and also given time at the Building Hope Community Life Center. An elementary education major with a 3.623 GPA, Fuller contributed to the Hall of Fame Banquet, Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and the Letterwinners Tailgate this fall.
