In her final year with the Tigers, she hit .519, slugged .790, drove in 28 runs and tallied six home runs and was selected to play in the Orange County Coaches All-Star Softball Game ... Served as the team captain as a senior ... As a junior, finished third in the league in batting average ( .414) and hits and was named best defensive player while helping her team to a 21-9 overall record ... The Tigers qualified for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Division I Southern Section playoffs in her junior season ... As a sophomore, she was selected as the most valuable player of the Savanna High School Tournament and was tabbed Orange County Register Player-of-the-Week for her efforts when she went 5-for-7 with a home run and six RBI to aid her team to the title ... The team ended the year 24-6 with an 8-2 mark in league action and earned a spot in CIF playoffs with Briggs hitting .355 ...
