Spent final three seasons at Amherst Regional after moving from New Jersey, where she attended Chatham High School ... Named the ESPN RISE 2010-11 Gatorade Massachusetts Softball Player-of-the-Year after posting a 23-2 record, 0.17 earned run average and 300 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .119 batting average ... Received the Springfield Republican Pitcher-of-the-Year honor as a sophomore, junior and senior ... Hurricanes lost only one regular-season game during her three years with the program, a 2-0 setback to Agawam as a senior ... Broke out as a junior with a 23-1 record, six no-hitters, a 0.21 ERA and 312 strikeouts in 165 innings, leading the Hurricanes to the Western Massachusetts Division I title and Division I state semifinals ... Lone loss was to Central Massachusetts champion Milford during the state playoffs ... Also batted .459 during junior campaign with 24 runs scored, 17 runs driven in and five home runs ... Honored as the Hampshire Gazette Player-of-the-Day seven times throughout the course of junior season and was a first-team pick at the end of the campaign ... As a sophomore, guided the Hurricanes to the state sectional finals, compiling a 19-1 record with five shutouts and one no-hitter ... At Chatham, earned New Jersey Star-Ledger Third-Team All-Area selection after going 16-5 ... One thing about me that will surprise most people reading this: I'm a very intense player, but a really shy person off the field.
The best birthday present I've ever received was: My family and I went to Disney World the week of my birthday when I turned nine and Goofy said "Happy Birthday" to me.
I got started pitching when: The rec softball coach wanted me to try it one game because I was one of the tallest girls on my team. I found pitching more interesting compared to other positions I had played.
My favorite softball memory is: Winning the state tournament's semifinal game against Milford my senior year because they beat us when I was a junior. I also enjoyed the state championship game. Every moment was so exhilarating.
Advice I would give to young girls who want to play softball: If you want to be a successful athlete, you have to work very hard and practice as much as you can. The work will pay off; trust me.
