Paced ECU in batting average (.314), hits (58), walks (40), runs scored (37) and on-base percentage (.436) while tying for the top spot in doubles (8) ... Also led C-USA in free passes and plate appearances (233) ... Tied for third in the league in runs scored and stood alone in sixth in hits ... Became the first Pirate player to collect more than 35 hits, walks and runs during a season since Kate Manuse (77 H/55 BB/40 R) in 2005 ... Ranked second on the team in stolen bases (11) and total bases (70) ... Defensively, posted a .990 fielding percentage, good for ninth in the league, and committed just two errors while contributing a team-best 82 assists ... Helped the Trojans to OIA Championships as a freshman, sophomore and senior as well as a runner-up finish as a junior ... Served as a team captain during final campaign ... Advice I would give to young girls who want to play softball: Always work hard and if you love the sport, never give up on it. It's not always going to be easy, but the little things you do now will make a huge difference down the road. And don't get discouraged because all your hard work will pay off eventually.
