Struck out 109 batters while walking 33 ... Held opponents to a .210 batting average ... Earned first win at East Carolina against Morehead State (2/27) ... Picked up the first two shutouts of Pirate career against Seattle (3/6, 3/7), fanning 17 in the two contests ... Blanked rival N.C. State (4/14) on two hits while striking out five ... Recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts against UNC Wilmington (4/20) ... Earned the shutout win in game two at Memphis (5/8), the victory that clinched ECU's first Conference USA regular-season title ... Followed up that effort with a two-hit shutout of the College of Charleston (2/16), striking out nine ... Pitched a total of 34 innings and struck out 50 batters while allowing just 11 walks ... Finished the year with a 2.06 earned run average.

Two-time 2A all-state honoree ... North Carolina High School Athletic Association 2A East Pitcher-of-the-Year selection on two occasions ... Named the 2A MVP of the 2006 state championship after not surrendering a run in leading team to the title ...
