I got started in softball when:
One of my youth basketball teammates' dad asked if I wanted to join his softball team. I had only played tee-ball prior to this but decided to try it out anyway. I liked it and stuck with it.

Advice I would give to young girls who want to play softball:
Never give up; there will be times when you want to, but just keep pushing through and good things will happen.
