East Carolina-South Alabama Game to be Broadcast on ESPN3

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team’s second game at the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic against No. 19 South Alabama on Friday, Feb. 21 will be broadcast live on ESPN3. First pitch is scheduled for 5:45 p.m., at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports in Kissimmee, Fla.

East Carolina (5-3), winners of three straight and four of their last five, will face Albany in its first matchup of the day at 3:30 p.m., and will play a total of six games at the annual event. The Pirates will meet Mercer and 17th-ranked Georgia on Saturday, before squaring off against Delaware and Fairfield on Sunday.

ECU will prepare for battles against two top-20 opponents in the Sunshine State. In their last matchup against a ranked opponent, the Pirates defeated 20th-ranked Tulsa, 6-4, in the final installment of a three-game Conference USA home series on April 7, 2013.
