Aug. 31, 2012

GREENVILLE, N.C. (ECU News Bureau) - East Carolina University has placed head softball coach Tracey Kee and assistant coach Natalie Kozlowski on paid suspension pending the outcome of an internal inquiry into softball program complaints.

Chancellor Steve Ballard said the university expects to complete and release a related report in the next 10 days.

"We felt this was the necessary step to take while we assess information," Ballard said.

ECU Athletics Director Terry Holland is assessing how to move forward with interim leadership of the program.

Kee became head coach in 1997. Kozlowski came to ECU in 2000 and has served as associate head coach since 2007.
