GREENVILLE, N.C. --- After signing six prep swimmers and divers to a National Letter-of-Intent during the fall signing period, East Carolina head coach Rick Kobe announced Wednesday that 10 prep student-athletes, five men and five women, will be joining the Pirate program in the fall of 2008.

The five men include: Miles Maximini of Hopewell, Va.; Chris Murphy of Chesapeake, Va.; Douglas Parker of Greenville, N.C.; Travis Stauder of Forest, Va.; and Ailton Temotio of Fortaleza, Brazil.

The women coming to ECU in the fall are Jessica Brinkley of New Bern, N.C.; Meghan Coyne of Newburgh, N.Y.; Kristen Giese of Columbia, S.C.; Anna Wayne of Wilmington, N.C.; and Katie Yamamoto of Paris, Ontario.

"We are very excited about the future of Pirate swimming and diving with this incredible group that will be joining us in the fall," said Kobe. "This is a very talented and fast group of swimmers. They each have some very notable credentials and we expect each of them to have outstanding careers at ECU."

Travis Stauder

Highlights: YMCA National Finalist in breaststroke (3rd in 200) & IM

Ailton Temotio
