Richmond, Va. --- The East Carolina women's team completed play the VCU 4x1 Invitational with a 5-0 victory over Drexel late Sunday afternoon. The Pirates won all four of their singles matches in straight sets, posting 6-0 victories in five of eight sets played in singles competition.

The win came after a 5-0 loss to Virginia Commonwealth late Saturday night. ECU finished the tournament with three victories against two losses.

Senior Raluca Baicu won four matches over the weekend, while Gillie Bailey, Mireia Gol and Hannah Priest each recorded three victories. The doubles team of Kirstin Buchanan and Alex Smith also posted three victories.

East Carolina will host Charleston Southern in its first home match of the season Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m.
