IRVING, Texas - East Carolina's Dana Gray was among four juniors and two seniors who were named to the 2014 Conference USA Women's Tennis All-Academic Team according to an announcement by the league office Wednesday.
The all-academic team consists of student-athletes who have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a regular participant on their team.
Gray, a junior who led the Pirates in singles wins this spring with a 12-6 record, owns a 3.85 grade point average as a business administration major. She also compiled seven triumphs with Maria Storozheva playing at the top of ECU's doubles lineup.
The Rotorua, New Zealand native is a five-time ECU Director of Athletics Honor Roll and Dean's List selectee, and a three-time member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll who has earned the league's Academic Medal on two occasions (2013, 2014).
Other selections include Rice junior Natalie Beazant, UAB junior Rachel Daniell, Charlotte junior Lisa Grosselius, Old Dominion senior Nika Khomolovska and Tulane senior Klara Vyskocilova.
