Volleyball Releases Promotional Schedule

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina University Department of Athletics has announced its promotional schedule for the ECU Volleyball team which is under the leadership of first-year head coach, Julie Torbett. Highlights from the promotional schedule include, Fan Appreciation Night, "Volley with The Pirates," Dig Pink, and Military Appreciation Night as well as a number of other exciting opportunities to watch the Pirates in action in Minges Coliseum. Additionally, after every match, the ECU Volleyball team will be signing autographs.
The home opener for the Pirates is Friday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. against The Citadel in the East Carolina Classic in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. Admission to each of ECU's women's volleyball games is $5 for adults and $3 for youth 12-and-under. East Carolina students are admitted free with a valid ECU OneCard. Group rates will also be available this year for groups of 25 or more. The 2013-14 Pirate Pass, which can be purchased for only $60, includes admission to all volleyball and soccer matches, women's basketball and softball games, as well as, select men's basketball and baseball games. All Pirate Pass seating is general admission and can be purchased online or by contacting the Athletic Ticket Office at (252) 737-4500.

Dig Pink - All fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match to show their support for the fight against breast cancer.
"Volley With The Pirates" - Fans will be invited onto the court after the match to play volleyball with the team.
Girl Scout Night -Members of the Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to earn a patch.
