ECU Volleyball Gameday Central

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The East Carolina volleyball team looks to grab a pair of wins today as it wraps up its participation in the Virginia Tech Tournament. The Pirates face Arkansas at 10 a.m. before returning for a meeting with Norfolk State at 4 p.m.

Facing a tough Virginia Tech side last night, ECU fell 3-0 by 25-17, 25-13 and 25-22 scores. Senior Stephanie Turner led the squad offensively, recording 11 kills as she has reached the double-digit plateau in each match this season. Defensively, senior Katie Prast dug up a team-best five balls as she has recently took over the libero duties.

The Razorbacks opened play at the VT Tournament yesterday afternoon, making quick work of the Spartans, 25-8, 25-11 and 25-17. Jasmine Norton led the way for Arkansas with seven kills while Elayne Greer matched that effort for Norfolk State. The Razorbacks out-hit the Spartans .320 to -.130 while also out-digging them 31-26.
