GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina will travel to in-state rival Duke this weekend for its second consecutive road tournament this season. The Pirates will face off against Northeastern Friday, Sept. 7, at 5 p.m., and against Duke and Elon Saturday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m., and 5 p.m., respectively.

ECU is looking to snap its four-match skid in which the Pirates have dropped straight sets to Charlotte, Southeast Missouri, Bradley, and Milwaukee. Last weekend, junior outside hitter Hannah Allgood tallied a team-leading 29 kills and a 3.22 kills per set average at the Milwaukee Invitational. She also notched her second double-double of the year against Milwaukee, recording 11 kills and 13 digs. Senior Kelly Derby was solid once again as she turned in a seven-kill on 16 attack performance to hit .312 versus Bradley.

The Pirates will go up against Northeastern for the first time in program history and are trailing 20-10 in the all-time series against Duke. East Carolina and Elon are tied up at 3-3 overall.
