TERRE HAUTE, Ind.--The East Carolina University women's cross country team participated in the 2005 Pre-Nationals hosted by Indiana State University. With three 6k events taking place on the men's side, including the Blue, White, and Open race.

Senior Jessica Collins was the top finisher for the Lady Pirates, placing 129th of 232 participants in the 6k run. Collins (22:26) paced the ECU squad that would finish 34th as a team.

Caitlin Littlefield finished with a time of 23:05 (176) rounding out the top 200 among the women's category, in an event paced by Colorado's Christine Bolf (20:12).

Also competing for the Lady Pirates was Megan Walling (24:00, 211), Hayley Flynn (24:36, 224), and Jessica Raphael (26:00, 232).

East Carolina's next scheduled event is on October 30th when the team participates in the Conference USA Championship.
