East Carolina University's Minges Natatorium, located in the Minges Coliseum complex, serves as the home for ECU Swimming & Diving.
With a seating capacity of over 300, Minges Natatorium boasts two separate competitive pools. The swimmers primarily utilize an eight lane, 25-yard competition pool with state of the art training and timing capabilities, including spectrum starting blocks, and five power towers for resistance and power training. At the other end of the facility the divers use a separate six lane, 20-yard diving well. The spacious diving well features two one-meter spring boards, two three-meter springboards, along with a separate one-meter platform. All four boards have updated and calibrated Durafirm fulcrums. The diving pool also utilizes two video playback systems with 40" monitors on each side of the pool, along with a state of the art underwater camera, providing immediate feedback to any of the athletes using that space. Divers also have access to a brand new dryland room featuring a video review system, trampoline with spotting rig, dry board with landing pit mat, stall bars, and various tumbling mats for core and stability workouts. A separate water temperature control system, water filtration systems, air temperature control system, and high quality sound system have created an ideal training/competition environment.
In 2023 a complete renovation of the locker rooms and bathroom area took place, adding a separate team only locker room, shared shower area, and additional bathroom facilities for athletes and guests. These recent updates have made Minges one of the nicest collegiate aquatic facilities in the state.
